Help me choose my hair color? Please?

Today is my last day as a blonde. It has been fun, truly; but my new agency has heavily implied that if I want auditions, I had better get my hair darker as soon as possible.

I am secretly relieved. They weren't specific in the color; all they said was "darker."

Here's my question: how dark do I go? How much red should I tell the colorist to sneak in there? I feel like I have the chops to pull off a striking look, so here are my thoughts:

Anne Hathaway has a similar skin tone/eye combo as I do. Here are some options:

I'm thinking it's dark enough to be striking, brown enough to be brunette, but just auburn enough that they could send me in for red heads if the breakdowns call for it.

Of course, I could always rock the auburn and bring in some pictures of Kate Nash:

Here are some pictures of be before I was blonde for a little while:

Thoughts?

  3. I love the first Kate Nash picture! I think the cut, color and bangs would look awesome on you!

  4. Personally, I have always found you most striking when your hair color was that in the last picture (blue shirt). More auburn than brown.

How about standing out from the crowd and going for Oxford blue or even British racing green....it would certainly put you ahead of your competitors for any mermaid or alien roles.

  6. Auburn is a fabulous hue, if I do say so myself. Go for it! It worked well on you before :)

  7. OK, I'm in favor of natural--easier to take care of and better for you in the long run.

  8. I dig the change. I'm a sucker for dark hair...darker the better imo. Nothing against blondes because I do love me some of those Kristen Bells and Scarlet Jos of the world, but nothing beats a brunette.
